Aquarius Full MoonWhen the Moon and Saturn meet things can feel very austere and somber. You may feel drained, tired, and inclined toward a bit of (well deserved) rest and relaxation around this time. Rest and relaxation are unfortunately a little harder to come by when we’ve got a square between the luminaries and the action-packed trifecta in Taurus.We’re lucky. The gnarly triple conjunction and exact square between Mars and Saturn have already passed. We now get to pick up the pieces and recalibrate to better function within our new circumstances. We get to innovate and discover creative new ways of doing things that are more resilient to the inevitable turbulence of life.Speaking of innovation and creative new ways of doing things - I’ve decided to limit my content on here because frankly, instagram is a fucking joke and I’m sick of having followers randomly deleted and content not display on feeds.From now on, if you want to read my complete posts, you’ll need to visit my website via the link in my bio. Leo New MoonI hope everyone is enjoying the current cagey and disruptive astrology. I mean, yes, there is the nice trine that the New Moon is applying to with (stationing) Jupiter, but we’re heading straight into some of the most intense astrology of the year from here, so try to make the most of the good moments while you can.Leo is the solar domicile and the sign of the heart so I should say something cheesy here like “just have an open heart and embrace your true self this New Moon babes”...but sometimes self-love involves telling people to fuck right off. Sometimes embracing your true self involves going against the status quo and disrupting the false pretense of peace and harmony.This New Moon starts a crescendo that will take us through the first half of August in what can only be described as an absolute clusterfuck. That is the technical term for it, yes. Following the New Moon, Mercury and Luna make a series of aspects that will be repeated by the Sun over the coming weeks. They will square what is one of the most tense pileups this year, and finish by opposing Saturn. This will be wild.We have Mars and Rahu gearing up to conjoin Uranus at the very start of August. This will likely bring back the themes of the 2021 Saturn Uranus “pressure test” squares, as these planets are reactivated by the fixed sign T-square. There is some respite through reception via sextile from Venus, the ruler of the Taurus action, but I sincerely doubt that will do much to tone down these wild animals.All of this is happening across the fixed signs, who are the most resistant to change and disruption. This adds more intensity as there’s a hesitancy to adapt to the sudden changes that are promised by Uranus transits, particularly when they involve Mars. Fixed signs are known for their rigidity, and over the coming weeks, we'll see who is willing to bend, and who will break.It wouldn’t be Leo season without a bit of drama, would it? That’s showbiz, baby.~

Capricorn Full MoonOur annual Full Moon in the sign of the grumpy goat is a biggie. Luna is not happy in Capricorn, it’s the sign of her detriment for a reason, these are two discordant archetypes. We all have to do things we don’t like from time to time, how else will we appreciate the good once we have it? Wouldn't you rather see things as they are, even if it feels pessimistic?Retrograde Saturn is the ruler of the lunation, recently recieving an air trine with Venus, yielding the cognitive commitment required for success. Capricorn, the sign of duty and integrity, reminds us that it's better to power through even though we’d rather give up and be comfortable. The sense of mastery achieved by doing this is worth it...and with Pluto so close by, we likely won’t be too comfortable anyway.The Full Moon has an ominous feeling to it. Pluto is 6 degrees away. Soon after completing her opposition with the Sun, The Moon will meet him, kicking off a sequence of events that will see the ugly truth of a matter dredged up over the next few days.
Mercury and The Sun will oppose Pluto later this week after Mercury is purified through his superior conjunction with the Sun. While under the beams, Mercury is invisible, and things feel very scattered, cloudy, and illogical. We don’t have our eyes on the full picture...yet.Pluto has been here in Capricorn since 2008. Though this is not new energy, as we are nearing the end of the transit, remember the old proverb: 'a snake hisses louder when it’s about to die.'This Full Moon kicks off the most intense astrological period of the year. Remember those Saturn Uranus squares from 2021? Yeah. More on that later.The Cancer Capricorn axis is about nourishment and resilience; it's the small pieces of daily work that the long-term goal necessitates. The Moon is the fastest moving visible planetary body, and Saturn is the slowest. This Full Moon links back to the new Moon in Capricorn at the very beginning of the year. AntisciaRecently I’ve been geeking out over a lesser-known type of aspect which is quite different from the Ptolemaic ‘ray-based’ aspects you are used to hearing me talk about here. Antsicia is not a new concept and was well documented by ancient astrologers, but it’s not something that is well utilised today.Antiscia is calculated in reference to the solstitial axis. Planets (or other relevant points in a chart) are said to be in antiscion to one another when they mirror each other's placement with reference to this. These placements are equidistant from the celestial equator and share equal light in terms of their timing in the solar seasons.What I mean by that is, in Leo season, there will be a day when the sun is the same distance by degree from 0 degrees of Cancer as there will be on a certain day during Taurus season, therefore these days will also be equal in terms of their daylight hours. These points are in antiscion.As above, so below.Antiscia, which means shadow or reflex in Greek, connects signs that have a same-same-but-different kind of vibe. They connect signs of different qualities, genders, and temperaments. Signs in this relationship share a kind of affinity, sympathy or kinship. When placements are in antiscion, they function similarly to conjunction, where the planetary energies are imported and shared; it gives the placements involved a kind of active dynamism because of the juxtaposed qualities in play.Food for thought:What do Cancer and Gemini have in common?

Cancer New MoonThe usual cozy vibe of our Cancerian lunation is disrupted by an uncomfortable push from Jupiter in Aries. As much as we’d like to retreat and recouperate, especially on a Neptune station, the call to action from our moral compass may make this peace and quiet harder to come by than we’d like.The internal fog that comes from Neptune stationing retrograde can lead to getting lost in our own fantasy. Idealism can veer into delusion if we’re not careful. We’re going to need to reconsider and review these themes over the coming months and recognise that our thinking is perhaps incongruent with reality in some instances.Following the check in between Mars and Saturn yesterday, the two benefics also connect via sextile today. There is some sweet and productive energy in play, though the square between the luminaries and a rambunctious Aries Jupiter may overshadow this and lead to frustration and even aggression in some instances.Cardinal signs, like Cancer and Aries, want to intiate and get things going. The issue is that if we’re running on empty and have failed to nurture ourselves and those around us, initiating anything may be a recipe for disaster. You can’t pour from an empty cup.Cancer is the mother of the zodiac. This sign is about the safety required to nurture both others, and ourselves. Cancer is protective and defensive when it feels uncomfortably vulnerable. Safety necessitates protection. It would be prudent to reflect on this, and get some well deserved rest before the upcoming Mars Pluto square in early July.What do you need to feel safe? What would you do to defend this? Sagittarius Full MoonLet’s go!This Full Moon is the first Sagittarius lunation since 2019 that isn’t an eclipse. We may finally be able to move forward to some semblance of clarity and reconciliation around whatever tumultuous activity occurred in these areas of life for us over the past couple of years.Eclipse cycles bookend chapters in our life. These chapters bear the themes of the pair of houses in which the eclipses take place. By now, you'll likely be all too familiar with which house Sagittarius is for you.Neptune is squaring the luminaries. This aspect was a signature of the eclipses in 2020 and 2021. The dream we seeded is ready to come to fruition, and the favorable aspects the Sun and Moon soon come into with retrograde Saturn will facilitate us in making this vision tangible. Neptune is the dream, and can certainly bring deception and delusion; the stark contrast to the Saturnian reality pill will help us keep our feet on the ground. If we want them there, that is.You always have a choice in the way you wish to live. You can choose to make the mundane wondrous or the wondrous mundane. It’s all perspective.The Sagittarius archetype is the seeker. Ruled by Jupiter, who is copresent with Mars in Aries, there is a bold, brave, and action-oriented energy to this lunation. Especially in contrast to the recent eclipse series in Sagittarius and Gemini where Jupiter was in Saturn's signs and having to abide by certain constrictive rules and regulations that he wasn’t necessarily thrilled with.We’re still settling into this new post-eclipse space. Saturn is now retrograde, and Mercury is freshly back in Gemini, and gaining speed now he’s direct, but not quite finished reconciling the events of the recent ordeal. He should have figured it out by the 18th though.Mars, Venus, and Mercury are all direct and in domicile, meaning they are well resourced. Venus is getting boosted out of her hedonistic Taurean vibe, currently sandwiched between Uranus and Rahu. Take the leap. Gemini New MoonThis New Moon brings with it a discernable vibe shift. We now have Jupiter and Mars both in Aries, conjunct as of yesterday. These two are supporting the lunation via sextile and imploring us all to just fucking do it. This pairing adds an exclamation mark to everything they touch and give us the jolt that we need to stand up for our own personal beliefs.That said, we would benefit from a bit of forethought before ripping off the proverbial bandaid. Mercury moving back through Taurus, about to station direct, makes me think that we’ve considered and revised all we need to, and that we’re ready to make a tangible shift. In practice though, this might not look as tidy and considered as we might like.Remember, retrograde Mercury in Taurus is the ruler of the lunation. Mercury is taking their sweet time to chew the cud; the cud they’ve been working on for quite some time. Venus entered Taurus yesterday: a decadent and comfy transit begins. With the boisterous energy going on back in Aries, Venus in Taurus invites us to lean in to our own personal hedonism. This is a great lunation for comradery and the pleasantries that come from social ties.What’s right for you? Taurus is all about values, Gemini is about ideas, and Aries is the bold and courageous energy that we need to kick things off. This lunation feels like clearing the way for a new beginning.
