Planetary conditions are more productive this month as compared to last. That said, this is not a light or easy month by any stretch of the imagination, though some favourable aspects are at play to mitigate the chaos. It’s likely to bring intensity, surprises, and tough conversations that we may need to revisit in months to come.
The month kicks off with a New Moon in Scorpio on the 1st. The New Moon is applying to a trine with Saturn in Pisces, imploring us to take responsibility for our darkness and make peace with our more challenging emotions.
On the 3rd, Mars opposes Pluto who is lingering in the final degree of Capricorn until later this month. This is a turbulent aspect that will repeat twice more in the first few months of next year due to Mars’ impending retrograde, though the repetitions will be in Leo and Aquarius. This finale inevitably involves conflict and aggression. Those old ways won’t go down without a fight. They must be cut out definitively and for good.
This opposition takes place while Mars and Pluto are both in the anaretic, or final, degree of Cancer and Capricorn, showing how much history and context has led up to this inevitably explosive point. This will show up for everyone somewhere in their lives, but will likely be more evident if you have placements in near the end of cardinal signs.
Pluto and Mars often bring up primal, life and death-related matters or the kind of turbulence that forces us to tap into instinct and personal resources. Raging against one’s perceived enemies, shames, or shadow are all on theme. As are clashes of will, power struggles, or unconscious emotions bubbling up. The thing with Pluto is that he often operates in the unseen realm. Be aware that you may not be able to see or name your enemy.
We may be feeling especially uninhibited or hopeful around this time as Venus opposes Jupiter on the 4th. This only adds to the volatility. This, alongside the Mars-Pluto opposition, may help us unlock the potential for some deep healing, or accessing faith we didn’t know we had.
Pluto enters Aquarius on the 20th. This time, these few years represent a major transition in power structures. We’re entering a new world of possibility, and the old guard no longer holds all the cards. This shift is huge, especially for those of us with cardinal or fixed rising signs.
The Taurus Full Moon on the 16th is conjunct Uranus. This lunation is sure to shock and surprise. Venus is at the bending of the nodes during the Full Moon, so there’s something incredibly important and necessary about this development. Many of us will need to make a potentially life-altering decision around this time.
Needless to say, a lot is going on this month. Much of it is coloured by Mercury’s conversations with the outer planets and malefics. Mercury enters his shadow on the 7th and stations retrograde on the 26th whilst applying to a square with Neptune. This retrograde will be all about his opposition to Jupiter in Gemini and the necessary perils of change and expansion. Mercury and Jupiter will be in mutual reception throughout this retrograde. There is a very contained, supported dynamic at play here; it’s about navigating the path forward despite growing pains. Mercury is supported in his beliefs and optimism, and Jupiter is supported in his logic and dexterity. This is good news for the mutables, who may feel like they have a healing slowdown of sorts during this transit.
Saturn stations direct on the 16th, and starts creeping closer toward the aspect that will colour the coming two years – his conjunction with Neptune.
Sagittarius season starts on the 22nd, and we’re back in the thick of mutable madness from there on.
All dates and times are in AEDT.
Read from your rising sign or sect light.
Scorpio
Huge month for you. Your ruler, Mars, is slowing down in preparation to station retrograde next month. You may feel frustrations building and tensions rising over the coming weeks. You’re simply not making the progress you may have thought you would, and that’s okay.
The first few days of the month may bring up some harder themes. Mars opposes Pluto on the 3rd. Power struggles or aggression may be major themes here. You might need to lean into your primal, intuitive self-knowledge during this time. This may have to do with siblings or transit/travel. Watch out for harsh communication on these dates as you likely won’t be operating from the evolved parts of your brain. This aspect repeats a couple more times during the first few months of 2025, so pay attention to what comes up for you this time. What comes to light here might necessitate a shift in direction or behaviour because you can now recognise the shame or pain that doing something the same way for so long has caused.
Mars enters Leo on the 4th, and you’ll be feeling bolder and more empowered, which bodes well for you. This will be most evident in your career or public life. Bear in mind that this stuff will all require necessary revision in months to come.
A Full Moon in your seventh house on the 16th brings a shocking and unforeseen development in your personal relationships. An important choice or action that has major implications for your future may be required.
Pluto enters your fourth house on the 20th. This is the start of a long-term chapter of major transformation to your home and living situation, family life, and emotional state. This one is a slow burn, so don’t expect overnight changes.
Sagittarius
A lot is going on for you in the first couple of weeks of the month. Both Venus and Mercury will be in your sign from the 3rd onwards. This should bring a lot of your focus back to yourself. You might be feeling especially magnetic, creative, or beautiful during this time, or you might finally be able to indulge in some much-needed TLC and get your ducks in a row.
Because your ruler, Jupiter, is in your seventh house, these planets will both oppose him during their transit. The tyranny of distance between you and a partner, whether physical or psychological, might be relevant at this time. You are being called to communicate and to find balance despite this. Loving yourself first is the way forward.
Some major tension arises on the 3rd involving your finances, inheritance, or shared assets. This may also have to do with your perceived self-worth or your connection with a partner. This might bring up some deeper, primal feelings that you don’t normally let yourself feel. You might realise the extent of your fears around self-worth or finances. It’s time for some major, deep healing in these areas.
Venus enters your second house on the 12th, and you may reap the benefits of this financially, or through some nice shiny new things. This transit should also bring a boost to your self-esteem.
Mercury stations retrograde on the 26th, and you’ll spend the next few weeks reinventing and reevaluating yourself for the better. It’s time to consider who you want to be and how you can become that person. Make a plan.
Capricorn
This month might test you more than you thought it could. Mars and Pluto face off across your first and seventh houses on the 3rd. This might bring up some deep rage-related issues, power struggles, or even matters around life and death between you and a partner. This is the last gasp of this dynamic you’ll face in your lifetime – Pluto moves out of your sign for good on the 20th, which is reason to celebrate.
Venus is in your sign from the 12th, and you should be feeling extra magnetic, creative, and gorgeous for the next few weeks. Enjoy that.
Mercury squares Saturn on the 13th from your twelfth house. This is an aspect that will repeat itself over the next couple of months due to Mercury’s imminent retrograde here. Conversations or considerations about limits and mental health may be especially relevant during this time. Both inherent limits and the limits we self-impose. You’ll have to take action, but this action might be not doing the thing. Some of us might find out what happens when we push past our limits, are overly optimistic about our capabilities, and self-sabotage.
Your ruling planet, Saturn, stations direct on the 16th, which is coincidentally the same date as a Full Moon in Taurus, your fifth house which is sure to bring surprises. This lunation may bring a conclusion to a longer chapter to do with romance, children, or creativity for you. You may have to make a decision around this date that has longer-term ramifications for these parts of your life. Remember to put yourself first, always and forever.
There’s a nice sextile between Venus and Saturn on the 22nd, this should be a good day for you.
Aquarius
After a couple of months of little progress, things are about to kick back up for you in a major way. Saturn, your ruling planet, stations direct on the 16th. Mid-month will likely be a pretty significant time for you. There’s a Full Moon in Taurus, your fourth house, which will likely bring an unexpected culmination to a longer-term situation in your home or family life. There might be a decision or an action to be made around this date that has long-term consequences. Choose wisely.
Venus spends the first twelve days of the month in your eleventh house, and Mercury spends most of the month here. Your social life is likely to be busy during this time, with plenty of fun to be had. Mercury stations retrograde here on the 26th, so you may find yourself having some social deja vu over the coming weeks in this part of your life. You might also be making some plans for the future and feeling especially optimistic about them, going back and forth over the logistics. There may be a challenging conversation or roadblock that comes up around the 13th that needs to be revised over the coming weeks.
This month’s most tense aspect takes place on the 3rd when Mars opposes Pluto. This aspect takes place across your sixth and twelfth houses and may manifest as a work or health-related issue. Keep an eye out during the first week of the month and try not to get involved in unnecessary conflict.
Pluto enters your sign for the long haul on the 20th. This transit signals the start of an almost 20-year-long journey of personal transformation. You’ll be completely changed by this, especially through accessing the depths of your own psychology and personal relationship with power and power structures. Buckle up!
Pisces
This month you get some support from Mercury, who enters Sagittarius on the 3rd. Mercury being in Sagittarius puts him in opposition to Jupiter, your ruler, who is in Mercury’s sign, Gemini. This potent support is known as mutual reception and it provides favourable conditions for both planets involved. You may find that you get some peer support or recognition this month in your career or public life, and you’re able to provide something in return – something that benefits everyone.
There’s some major tension that reaches boiling point around the 3rd. This has to do with your romantic or procreative life, and your friendships or future aspirations. Something can no longer handle the pressure that’s been building for a few weeks. This is a make-or-break moment, so try to recognise your own triggers before they get the better of you.
You’ll get to redo and revisit some career or reputation-related issues over the coming weeks as Mercury stations retrograde here on the 26th. This should work out in your favour so be patient with it. How are you showing up in the public sphere currently? How would you like this to change? Venus is transiting your tenth house until the 12th, so make the most of the first half of November for all things related to your career and public image. This is a good time for you.
Aries
Quite an explosive month ahead. Lucky for you the harder stuff is over pretty quickly at the top of the month. Mars, your ruler, opposes Pluto from the final degree of Cancer on the 3rd. This Could bring up some rage or deep emotions around shame or power-related issues. Pluto is in your tenth house, Capricorn, so this will likely be related to your career or public image. Family or home-related issues might be involved here as Mars is in your fourth house. Either way, it could be a tricky few days, so brace yourself.
Whatever theme comes up for you around the 3rd will likely resurface in the first few months of next year due to Mars’ retrograde. Take note of this and if needed, put some contingency plans in place to cushion the blow.
Mars enters Leo on the 4th, and things are looking up for the rest of the month. Leo is your fifth house, the house of fun, romance and creativity. These parts of your life will likely see a lot of action over the coming weeks. Mars moving into Leo also means that, for the time being, he’s out of his fall in Cancer. This shift in dignity and chart position should feel welcome after the previous and markedly more frustrating one – Enjoy. The 27th looks like an especially nice day, as Mars enjoys a trine with the ruler of Leo, The Sun – this could be a great day for a date or a creative project.
Pluto exits your tenth house and enters your eleventh house permanently on the 20th. This signals the end of a long chapter of issues around shame and power that have been seemingly ever present in your career and public life. For the next almost 20 years Pluto will be overhauling and transforming your friendships and hopes for the future. This is good news for you.
Taurus
You may spend the first half of the month navigating deep connections with a significant other. This might involve shared finances or more taboo topics like sexuality and death. If you don’t have a significant other, this transit could be about income-related matters such as inheritance or taxes. You’re likely to receive some support or input that changes the course of things in these areas for the better around the 4th when Venus opposes the ruler of this part of your chart, Jupiter.
Some potentially gut-wrenching conversation or situation might surface around the 3rd of the month when Mars opposes Pluto across your third and ninth houses. This has been building for a while and might involve your siblings or travel. You’ll likely be feeling the fallout from this for a while, as Mars enters your fourth house shortly thereafter. Consider this time an opportunity for emotional recalibration and healing.
Venus enters Capricorn, your ninth house, on the 12th. You might be diving into research or travel mode around this time. You’ll likely feel a little more stable and steadfast following this ingress. Lean into activities that involve your brain.
Venus passes through the bending of the nodes on the 16th. You’ll need to take an important action at this time and put your own needs first. As difficult as this could be, you need to choose your own path and not be complacent or do something for the sake of appeasing others or because it looks prettier. This date is especially important for you as there’s also a Full Moon in your sign on the same date. This lunation is conjunct the planet of surprises, Uranus. Some major personal chapter is completing for you, and it might have a conclusion more shocking and suspenseful than you had anticipated.
Pluto enters your tenth house on the 20th which kicks off an almost 20-year-long chapter of transformation of your public image or career. You may make some major strides in terms of where you stand in a power hierarchy during this transit, or could even have topics like psychology or clandestine matters become especially relevant in your career or public life.
Gemini
Good news for you this month as Mercury, your ruling planet, moves out of the moody, broody waters of Scorpio and into the wild rodeo that is Sagittarius on the 3rd. Sagittarius is your seventh house, the part of your chart that represents your relationships. This transit is a special one as Mercury will be in mutual reception with Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, who is currently in your sign. This bodes well for you and your partnerships. You have the potential to truly understand and support one another during this time.
Mercury is in his pre-retrograde shadow from the 7th of the month, and stations retrograde on the 26th. You’ll be navigating a lot of personal changes through the lens of how you want to show up in your closest relationships.
Mercury squares off with Saturn in Pisces on the 13th. You might have to take decisive action and shoulder some responsibility in your career or public image at this time. This is just a nudge forward in a longer-term project of restructuring your public image. This is an aspect that will repeat during and post retrograde, so consider this formative time an opportunity to make sure that the way you show up in the world is how you want to be seen by the public in the long term.
There’s a weird and wonderful Full Moon in your twelfth house, Taurus, on the 16th. This lunation represents a culmination in a private journey you’ve been on for some time. This could be to do with your health, spirituality, or foreign lands. Take some time out for yourself on this date and see where your meditations take you. Prepare for some genius insights.
Cancer
There’s a new Moon in Scorpio on the 1st. This one signals a new beginning in your romantic, creative, or procreative life. Perhaps you’ve got a new romance blooming, maybe you’re entering a new playful chapter, or perhaps this has to do with your children or procreation.
The Mars transit through your sign that’s been ramping up both your frustration and motivation since September culminates this month with a tense opposition to Pluto in Capricorn. All those tensions that have been slowly building may come to a discernible head around the 3rd of the month. As this aspect takes place across your first and seventh houses, this possible explosion (or implosion) may have to do with a partner in love or business. Check yourself before you wreck yourself at the start of this month.
Mars enters your second house, Leo, on the 4th, and is ready to help you burn through some cold hard cash over the coming weeks. Unfortunately, Mars’ transit in your sign is not entirely over at this point. He stations retrograde early next month and will be back in Cancer in January. Luck you’ve had this practice run to prepare.
The Full Moon this month is a wild one and takes place in Taurus on the 16th. Some unexpected event may come to pass around this time that involves your friendships, or your hopes and wishes for the future. This is the concluding event of a much longer chapter, but the finale is sure to surprise.
Pluto exits your seventh house on the 20th. This is the end of the decades-long transit through your relationship sector that’s brought obsessions and power struggles. For the next almost 20 years he’ll be transforming your shared assets, this includes inheritance, taxes, and your partner’s finances – expect some major changes in this part of your life over the coming decades.
Leo
Your focus this month is likely to be inward. Maybe you’re focused on a private, emotional situation, or your home and family life. This is a valuable time – a plant’s health is determined by its roots, not what you can see on the surface. This is the time to work on fortifying your own roots. Use the New Moon on the 1st as a personal reset button.
If you’ve been experiencing some tension in your work life or health (physical or mental) recently, expect that to come to a head around the 3rd when Mars opposes Pluto across your sixth and twelfth houses. This tension could be related to power struggles or hidden shame around self-sabotage.
Mars enters your sign on the 4th and you’ll be feeling bolder and more courageous for it. You might feel charged with energy or even have increased anger. Physical activity is a good way to mitigate this transit if the latter presents.
Your ruler, The Sun, shares a productive trine with Saturn on the 5th. This might mean deepening your connection with a partner, or some progress in your shared finances.
The Full Moon on the 16th brings shock and surprise. This will likely be experienced in your career or public life – this is the end of a major chapter here. Maybe you’re the one making the unexpected move or feeling some genius insights into what you really want in this part of your life. Either way, you won’t be looked at the same after this.
The 19th is a dreamy day due to The Sun’s trine with Neptune – this one is better used for inspiration or filling your creative cup rather than physical productivity.
Pluto enters your seventh house on the 20th. This is the start of an almost 20-year-long transit through your relationship sector. Expect some major changes in the power dynamic here during this time.
The Sun enters Sagittarius on the 22nd and trines Mars on the 27th. Your creative and romantic life should be booming during this transit – enjoy it.
Virgo
Just when you thought you were getting somewhere, things start to slow down again and you’re forced to recalibrate your methodology. You’ll get there eventually – just not this month.
Mercury, your ruler, makes trines with Neptune and Mars simultaneously as the month opens. You could be feeling inspired and motivated.
There’s been some tension building recently in your social life; maybe you’re frustrated or burned out. This could also have to do with your romantic interests and hopes for the future. On the 3rd, things come to a head and some major blowout may occur. This may involve power struggles and unnecessarily (or necessarily) explosive interactions. There’s been some major tumult in your romantic or creative life for the last almost 20 years that concludes this month. This final showdown is necessary for your own sanity and healing.
Mercury enters Sagittarius, your fourth house on the 3rd. This is the most private part of your chart. It represents your home and living situation, emotions and family. You’ll likely be feeling pretty insular around this time and focused on getting your foundations right. You might have to go back and forth on any decisions you make this month as Mercury stations retrograde here on the 26th.
That said, Mercury will be in mutual reception with Jupiter in Gemini, your tenth house, for this entire transit. This recalibration of your home and private life is likely to pay itself off in dividends in your career and public life, even if the journey there is a little tedious.
Mercury squares Saturn on the 13th, and this aspect will repeat itself during the impending retrograde and after. Saturn is in your seventh house, suggesting that this back and forth around your living situation or emotions has major long-term ramifications in your 1:1 relationships. You’ll need to make some tactical moves here.
There’s a surprising Full Moon in your ninth house, Taurus, on the 16th. This one closes a chapter for you and might bring up some unexpected developments around travel, politics, or publishing.
Libra
You should be feeling a little more alive and zestful now Venus is out of the moody waters of Scorpio. Venus spends the first half of the month in your third house, Sagittarius, enjoying an opposition with reception from Jupiter on the 4th. You may be planning, or talking about planning, some travel around this date. If not travel then perhaps study or publishing.
There’s a tense aspect between Mars and Pluto on the 3rd which takes place across your fourth and tenth houses. Frustrations or power struggles in your career or home life may peak around this date.
Venus enters Capricorn on the 12th. You might be drawn inward during the next few weeks and focus on your home and living situation or family. There’s a nice sextile between Venus and Saturn on the 22nd, this aspect gives a nod to building solid foundations that can stand the test of time and that benefit every aspect of your life. This is a pleasant, emotionally healing transit. Pluto exits this part of your chart on the 20th, so Venus should help stabilise things during the transition.
The 16th brings a surprising conclusion to a long term situation that’s been playing out over the last year in relation to your shared finances. There’s a Full Moon here conjunct Uranus. You might see something come up in relation to taxes, inheritance, or your partner’s income. This date is pivotal for you, and you’ll need to make a decision or take an action that has long term implications – remember to put your own needs first at this time.
